On June 18, 2023, Alanna Bynes, age 10, and her mother Alicia Jeremiah celebrated the Philadelphia Juneteenth Parade and Festival in West Philadelphia. This event, commemorating the end of slavery in the United States, was first held in 2016. Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19, was declared a federal holiday by President Joe Biden in 2021.
