Get ready for some great gay telly... if you don't mind watching a few ads here and there.

OUTtv, the LGBTQ+ streaming service, is pushing into the UK market with the launch of its FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming TV) channel, OUTflix Proud, on Freeview. That means that if you're a Freeview, erm, viewer you now have access to a broad array of LGBTQ+ original series, reality shows, documentaries, and feature films without subscription.

OUTflix Proud, created in partnership with Fuse Media, offers over 400 hours of programming, including OUTtv originals such as Call Me Mother, Hot Haus, and For The Love of DILFs, authentic, queer-led storytelling that resonates with diverse LGBTQ+ communities. This launch on Freeview — which traditionally has been an aerial broadcast service — is part of an evolving platform that now supports FAST channels through hybrid streaming technology, facilitated by Global Distribution Services and enhanced by programmatic advertising capabilities. Someone will know what that means.

Brad Danks, CEO of OUTtv, called the UK a 'key market' - erm, hooray! - with an eager audience seeking life-affirming queer content and a wealth of LGBTQ+ creative talent.

This launch also marks a historical first for Freeview UK, as OUTflix Proud becomes the platform’s inaugural LGBTQ+ channel. Tanya Kronfli, founder and CEO of Global Distribution Services, said that the channel represents a 'bold step forward in inclusive broadcasting.'
