The historic market town of Ludlow in Shropshire has been recognized as having some of the best food in the UK, according to a recent survey by Which? Travel. Over 9,000 participants rated the food and drink offerings in their favorite inland towns and villages, leading Ludlow to top the list.

Ludlow boasts nearly 500 listed buildings and features a thriving culinary scene known for its use of fresh, local ingredients. A Which? spokesperson noted the town's culture of local produce and the numerous pubs and cafes served by dedicated individuals.

Highly rated eateries in the town include The Old Downton Lodge, Vaughan’s Sandwich Bar, The Boyne Arms, and CSONS. Visitors can experience local ingredients at the Ludlow Local Produce Market, held on the second or fourth Thursday of each month.

Other top inland destinations for foodies according to the survey include Wells in Somerset, Lavenham in Suffolk, Llangollen in Denbighshire, and Stamford in Lincolnshire.
